Did anyone else know that Cradle of Filth are playing the Uni in a few weeks time?? Or is it just me who is completely out of the loop?

Although it's not like anyone in Exeter has ever heard of advertising events...

Hey, just wondered if you knew where you were likely to be going for your birthday do & when? I've just bought some tickets for me & Olly a play and have just realised that it might be when you're part-tay-ing. I know it's quite a while away but I thought i'd ask cos i'd like to come out for it if I can, I just wanna check that i'm not double booking myself! :o/

My thoughts and prayers are with anyone who has friends and family in London, I really hope they're all ok. The thought of peoples fathers, mothers, husbands, sisters, daughters etc heading off to work this morning as usual and never coming back is such a chilling and terrifying thought, I couldn't even imagine it.

I really don't know what to say right now. I hope & pray the death toll doesn't rise anymore.

Argh, moving house sucks!! I'm so stressed! We've only managed to pack about half of our stuff, i've still got to change our address with everyone, our new land lord hates students (among his many anti-student quotes: 'I'd never ever have a student in my house', 'students exist in a cloud of their own bubonic stench', 'student don't live they just exist in a state of pointlessness'... I know Post grad's are a different breed but I still think i'll keep quiet about being one!), our present landlady is illegally trying to fleece an extra £250 out of us, and it's just taken me my entire lunch hour to call the DVLA (they've lost my car reg document) and to get a parking permit :o( What a waste of my lunch.

Actually i'm really cheesed off and grumpy today. I can't wait to be moved into our place, it's such a hassle sorting everything out. And works crap today too, I seem to be getting all the retards and mentalists today (sorry I know that's un pc, but i'm in a mood and some of the people have been really rude). Can't be arsed to write much more but: harlotqueen glad you had a good birthday (it all sounds very mysterious!) and sinthetique I hope you're feeling better now.

Cos whenever I plan to go and see it it always clashes with something else & I always end up missing out on both. It happened before with Placebo (when they cancelled on the day of the concert. Grrr) & it happened again yesterday with Keiths birthday. I was going to go out & I started getting ready but I felt so rough that I had to stay in in the end :o( Anyway, i'm at work at the moment but i'm gonna go get some Sudafed in my break so that should improve things a bit. harlotqueen did you got to see Rocky Horror?

Oh yeah & for anyone who is interested, Olly got a Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal & a Blues pedal. Means nothing to me, all I know is that they were expensive & they make cool sounds! That's about as technical as I get i'm afraid.

IT'S SNOWING! LOADS. :oD
I was just sat in the post grad room doing some work & I looked up and saw the snow & just ran right out of the building & started leaping about in it! I'm such a kid! I love snow, and we hardly ever got it in Brixham. I called Olly & he was like, 'I know i'm trying to drive in it!', and then I rung my parents to tell them too. :o) Tee hee.

I hope it snows all night so everythings pretty when we wake up tomorrow.

Oh yeah we were watching tele last night & Olly was just about to go and cook dinner when I suddenly remembered it was our anniversary. So we worked out how many months it was & it turned out to be one & a half years :oD so we rushed out to get some Chinese to celebrate. Yay!
Then we ate too much & felt ill and had a huge argument, cos I wanted to watch Holby & he wanted to watch football!! Ha ha! Happy anniversary babes! ;op

Well I was really depressed cos tomorrow is when all of Olly's mindless arsehole mates are coming round & i'm dreading it, but... I got to work & found out that the Hub Records website is finally up & running! :oD And i'm all excited! For those who don't know/care this is the website for the record company Jas Mann owns, & one of Jas' new tracks on there. :oD Yay!! After way too many years our (ie me & all the other Jas obsessee's) patience & faith has finally been rewarded :oD The problem is though, since I don't have the internet at home the only time I can go on the net is at work but I can't listen to any audio files on the work computers. Argh!! It's so infuriating!! It's made even worse by the fact that most of the other fans have said how depeche mode/prodigyish they think it sounds (two of my favourite bands), which makes me even more annoyed that I can't listen to it. Anyway, Olly & I are going round to his parents on monday so i'll have to try & sneak off & listen to it then (if I can wait that long without spontaneously combusting with excitement).
I'd be quite interested to know what other people think about the track, but please try & put the 'Spaceman' thing to the back of your mind when you listen & try & see it as a track in it's own right.

...i'll try my best not to make this another whingy complaining post, so in order to stick to this i'm not even gonna go into the whole valentines day fiasco which all ended in tears (quite literally). Although I have realised the crux of how the aforementioned day differs for men & women. For men valentines day seems to revolve around, 'what can I give her that'll guarantee me a shag'. And for women it revolves around, 'well i'm gonna have to shag him anyway, I might as well get a half decent present for it'.
Yes i'm bitter & cynical, but it's true.

But onto a less moany topic, we watched such a brilliant film last night. It was called 'Identity' (ok it's probably really famous but i'm really out of touch so I don't know), and it was SO amazing!! John Cusack was brilliant in it (as usual) & the story was so clever. It was one of those films where you sit there guessing at what's going on all the way through but no one elver gets it right, it's got such a great twist in it. I'm not gonna tell you the plot or anything that happens in it cos there's very little I could say without ruining some part of the plot, but I totally, absolutely recommend everyone to see it. It's brill.

Oh yeah & i'm gonna go see The Passion when it's out. Hopefully i'm gonna go with a friend of mine doing the Masters course with me, so we should be able to enthuse/pick it to pieces quite successfully :oD I've just been reading a BBCi piece on it. And apparently,'These days, a belief in Jesus sounds either disturbingly naive or frighteningly conservative, which may make it difficult for Gibson's film to find any sort of mainstream audience'. It's quite a harsh & narrow minded statement really because I don't know anyone who doesn't know the 'story' (whatever...) of Jesus & how he died. And surely everyone understands & and can relate to the concept of what it is to suffer (whether mentally or physically, or both) and feel excluded & abandoned by others. I don't understand why people will willingly watch films of anyone else getting beaten & killed but suddenly just because the central character is a religious one everyone turns their noses up. After all, the premise Jesus Christ Superstar is grounded on is true, it is the Greatest Story of All Time.
Maybe it's just because unlike all the other big budget Hollywood action films this one is actually real (yeah, there's written Roman evidence of a Jesus of Nazareth being crucified), & maybe that makes people feel uncomfortable. Then again it should, it's important to see the destruction & horror that humanity is capable of inflicting upon itself, especially these days.
Anyway, that's just my opinion & maybe it doesn't count for much. I'll go back to my reading now. xx

Oh yeah & i've been listening to the Gothminister album loads recently & although I didn't think much of it to start with, now it's hardly ever off the stereo. They're gonna sound amazing live, I can't wait to see them :o)
Actually i've just checked the Dark City website & i'm sure Jesu$ Loves Amerika were supposed to be playing, but now they've dissapeared fom the line up. Am I going mad?? I'm sure they used to be on there?! Anyone know??
